A gorilla trekking permit allows you to spend with the mountain for only one hour in their natural environment and is only applied in two National Parks in Uganda; Bwindi Impenetrable National Parks and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Whereas the gorilla habituation permits you to spend 4 hours.

How much is a gorilla permit in Uganda

Uganda has over 21 gorilla families which are habituated for gorilla trekking and a gorilla trekking permit cost $ 700 per person per trek and its valid for one day and one Park, meaning that you can’t trek twice nether in one Park or two unless you’re paid for two permits on different dates, and $ 1500 for gorilla habituation experience permits.

When to book gorilla permits in Uganda  

A gorilla permit is a key factor in Uganda’s gorilla trekking in Bwindi and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Gorilla permits can be obtained from Uganda Wildlife Authority Head Offices in Kampala just near Uganda Museum on Kira Road and every day gorilla trekking is taking place in Uganda National Parks of Bwindi and Mgahinga National Park.
